In the early days dermoscopy has only been used for the diagnosis of pigmented lesions and the differential diagnosis of melanoma.
Then it has been used for many other entities in general medicine. There are two different entities:
- Dermoscopy of inflammatory diseases (Inflammoscopy)
- Dermoscopy of parasites (enthymoscopy)
